I’m Caro Rey, founder of Caro Rey Planning & Design — an evolution of Filomenna and over a decade of experience planning destination weddings in San Miguel de Allende.

I’m a wedding planner at heart, focused on creating organized and intentional experiences, and a creative director guided by observation and detail. My background in florals, along with my personal practice as a painter, shaped the way I see balance, color, light, and composition — principles that inform how I plan and design weddings today.

With more than 13 years of experience, I’ve learned that strong planning is what allows a wedding to feel calm and present. My role goes beyond aesthetics: I guide decisions, coordinate trusted vendors, and manage timelines and logistics so couples feel supported and confident throughout the process.

Design gives each celebration its character. Thoughtful planning gives it clarity, ease, and care.
